چکیده
This paper aims to advance the field of nondestructive testing by eddy currents. It provides a mathematical and numerical framework for imaging small volume conductive inclusions of arbitrary shapes from electromagnetic induction data. The effect of measurement noise on the localization and characterization approach developed in this paper is investigated. Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC2000): 35R30, 35B30

Application of Signal Processing Tools for Fault Diagnosis in Induction Motors-A Review-Part II
The use of efficient signal processing tools (SPTs) to extract proper indices for the fault detection in induction motors (IMs) is the essential part of any fault recognition procedure. The 2nd part of this two-part paper is, in turn, divided into two parts. Part two covers the signal processing techniques which can be applied to non-stationary conditions. In this paper, all utilized SPTs for n...
متن کاملAdaptive coherence estimator (ACE) for explosive hazard detection using wideband electromagnetic induction (WEMI)
The adaptive coherence estimator (ACE) estimates the squared cosine of the angle between a known target vector and a sample vector in a transformed coordinate space. The space is transformed according to an estimation of the background statistics, which directly effects the performance of the statistic as a target detector. In this paper, the ACE detection statistic is used to detect buried exp...
متن کاملDetection and Characterization of Human Teeth Caries Using 2D Correlation Raman Spectroscopy
Background: Carious lesions are formed by a complex process of chemical interaction between dental enamel and its environment. They can cause cavities and pain, and are expensive to fix. It is hard to characterize in vivo as a result of environment factors and remineralization by ions in the oral cavity. Objectives: The development of a technique that gives early diagnosis which is non-invasi...

متن کاملInduction of a bystander effect after therapeutic ultrasound exposure in human melanoma: In-vitro assay
Background: The induction of bystander effect via ionizing radiation has been well proven. However, few studies have investigated the bystander effect following non-ionizing radiation, such as ultrasound waves. Here, the bystander effect after different sonication times on human melanoma cell line (A375), is evaluated by assessing cell viability and apoptosis. Materials and Methods: The cells w...
